A large number of people live their whole life without even witnessing a miracle. They never reach the place where they can see the intersection of reality and divinity. For me, experiencing various miracles is an everyday event. All this happened because I took one excellent decision. I agreed to accompany John Smithwick on a Global Venture mission trip.
One application, a few medical forms, $2800, and a fourteen-hour plane ride until I was finally in Thailand for my first Global Ventures mission trip. In orientation, John Smithwick went into detail that everyone on the trip would be working the same miracles that Jesus performed when He walked the earth. The next day during street ministry, I would put this bold statement to the test.
After we arrived at our first location near a busy pier, we gathered a crowd for our Gospel presentation by dancing in the streets and doing magic tricks with our clown. We preached the good news in combination with a powerful drama. After leading the crowd in the prayer of salvation, we prayed a prayer of healing over the entire crowd. We then asked those who felt God working a miracle in their body, to come forward and give a testimony of what they have been healed from.
Thai people are so shy that it's difficult for them to come forward, but one little boy mustered up the courage to hobble up on the stage. By looking at him you could see that his left leg was considerably shorter that his right. His mother told us, that because he had to compensate for his short leg, his back would hunch over. So we did as Brother John Smithwick had instructed. We laid hands on his leg, prayed in the name of Jesus, and commanded his leg to grow out. For the next twenty minutes we worked with him and as we did his leg began to grow out and his back straightened! It was so amazing! We saw him again later at our night event and both his legs were the same length, he was walking perfectly healed by the power of God. God had done the impossible!
Since that wonderful day I have seen blind eyes open, deaf ears hear again, lame walk, mute speak, cancer patients get out of their death beds, and tumors shrink down. I wish everyone could be as blessed as I am, to have seen what I have seen. With that in mind I have come up with a few prerequisites to see miracles manifest in your life:
1. Preach the simple Gospel
You should keep your presentation small, sweet and exact. Make sure that you hit the higher notes:
A. God's creation and Satan's deception.
B. Man's sin and separation from God.
C. Jesus' life and his substitution through his death, burial, and resurrection.
D. Man's restoration through Jesus' sacrifice.
2. Prayer of salvation
Guide your mass in the prayer of salvation. Just as deliverance is a free gift from God, curing their sick bodies will be as well.
3. Preach about miracles
Inform the crowd that Jesus performed the miracles while he was alive and that he still makes them happen today. This will make the mass believe that the supernatural events still take place. Give some examples to the people about curing of the Jesus. After that, pray a mass prayer over the entire crowd. Following are some things to remember for your curing prayer:
A. Don't ask God to heal them. Take authority over the sicknesses instead.
B. Command that all sickness and disease to leave their bodies.
C. Command that (list a few diseases) be healed in Jesus' name.
D. Immediately after the prayer, have the crowd begin to check their bodies and do what they couldn't do before.
4. Test the miracles
The best way to manifest a miracle is to get the person to activate their faith. If you can get a crippled person out of their wheelchair to help them walk, that is when you will see God's power begin to manifest. It will only be a matter of time before they begin to walk on their own, without your assistance. If you can get someone to start believing they are healed, they will receive their healing.
