The Functions Of A Freehand Brace

By Eliza Mendoza

Freehand brace is a rubber like materials that are worn on the arm, wrist, fingers, elbows, over the forearm and arm. They were developed in the past as small clothing that was worn on different parts of the arm. They have been improved with time to better qualities. The earlier ones could be said to be inelastic but the modern ones are very flexible.

These pieces of rubber come in different sizes. The piece that is worn around the elbow is not the same as that which is worn around the thumb. People have different arm sizes and hence this is put to consideration. They also come in an array of colors but most people like the ones that are dull in color.

The rubber is purchased from companies that manufacture it. There are several companies that have specialized in producing rubber. Once the rubber is acquired, it is confirmed to be of the soft and flexible form. The confirmation process is to ensure that they do not produce in fits that are rigid. Rigid in fits harden the exercise to be done by the hand.

The rubber is then cut into smaller pieces . The pieces will be determined by where they are expected to be fitted into. The cutting is done specialized machines. Thereafter, the rubber is then wound to form a circular shape. These in fits are normally circular in shape. The two free ends of the wound rubber are stuck with glue to ensure that they are closely adherent. The glued part is then melted together to ensure the stuck edges become a common unit.

The free ends of the textile are joined together. The joining could be done by use of glue. This process is still conducted by machines. The amount of glue used is regulated by the programs running the widgets. The rubber or cotton attains a tube like appearance . The diameter of the in fit is still a part of the specification. In the case of cotton, a small piece of rubber is included in the manufacture for it to attain elasticity.

The in fits are then colored. The coloring is done by use of dyes. The amount of dye used is also regulated. The colors that are mostly preferred are dull colors such as grey, brown and black. Thereafter, they are packed. These are then sold to middlemen or retailers. These in fits have several advantages. They are comfortable and simple to put them in. They are adjustable and accommodate small to large sizes. The fact that the commodities are elastic ensures they can customize a fit in the scenario of a smaller or bigger finger or wrist.

They have several demerits. They easily get worn out. This is especially for people who participate in rigid activities such a playing guitars and pianos. A musician may therefore require many pieces. They are quite restrictive especially for people who have are not used to them. Rigid in fits could alter the performance of a certain activity for example writing.

FreeHand brace is currently used for many activities in our daily lives since most of activities require a rapid movement of parts of the hand. Their modern quality has helped ease these arm activities. More people especially those involved in sports are using them.
