Does anyone really want to go under the knife?
There are a variety of procedures that will improve skin's appearance, without invasive surgery. You can get a new look with little discomfort or downtime. Each procedure is appropriate, depending on each individual's unique problem or concern. You can keep your skin looking healthy and young for a long time by addressing problems before they get out of hand.
Chemical Peels
This procedure removes the outer layers of damaged skin, leaving it soft and smooth. A peel scrubs off the outer layer of skin, leaving youthful skin in its place. Skin tone evens out, wrinkles become fewer, and adult acne can disappear too.
Botox
Botox is a deceivingly simple procedure; sometimes patients forget that it really requires an experienced injector to do it well. In the forehead, Botox will relax the muscles. An injector who is experienced will be able to give a good lift to the eyebrows, create a full upper lip, soften any downturned corners of the mouth, remove fine lines around the eyes, et cetera.Injections scheduled every 3-4 months can make wrinkles disappear and even stop fine lines from appearing.
Cosmetic Fillers- Juvederm and others
Cosmetic Fillers are injectable, but are not the same as Botox. Botox relaxes facial muscles to reduce wrinkles. Cosmetic fillers fill in the wrinkles, giving real volume to the face, and resulting in a smoother, more youthful look. There are fillers that are best as face volumizers because they give volume back where it has decreased over time. We choose Juvederm to "plump up" lips.
Laser Skin Resurfacing- CO2
Many types of laser skin resurfacing exist, but all take away visible sun damage and age spots, restoring the youthful firmness of otherwise loose skin. These procedures are excellent at clearing up wrinkles, too. Laser skin resurfacing is a good option for patients with extensive skin damage, because it can be done on many areas of the body, not just the face.
Laser Skin Tightening
Again, there are a variety of lasers for skin tightening. They tighten the skin sending energy that damages the skin in a healthy controlled way; encouraging new cell growth and collage. Radio Frequency is good to tighten without any discomfort or down time. Skin Tightening Lasers penetrate deep into the skin with thermal energy. This stimulate the skin to create new collagen, resulting in lifting and tightening.
If you are considering plastic surgery, a non-surgical cosmetic procedure may be enough to turn back time without cutting the skin.
