Salesmen have been known for being slick and dishonest. Movies such as Used Cars, and The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard have brought the reputation of car salesmen to be tricky and deceptive. There are several dealerships that have gone a long way in changing this belief. Over a long period of time, car salesmen have been making a living through commissions. Finding a commission no matter the method used was crucial as this is what the salesman depended on to make a living.

The old adage let the buyer beware has been the watchword for many years. The thing behind this was that you had to be on the lookout when buying a car for your own interests.

Though not all car salesmen are this way, there are a few in the market that make it necessary for you to be wary. Car salesmen come in all types of manner, there are the smooth talkers and there are those that are straight. Though there are others that withhold information if you do not dare ask. It's also true, that their women car salesman as well as men. Do women make better car salesmen?

It is true, that many women dread the idea of having to go look for a car and deal with a car salesman. However, they are less apprehensive when the salesman turns to be a woman. A woman salesman would understand what the other woman desires.

Additionally, women seem to have a softer approach. That tends to draw people in rather than send them off running. And in many cases, this is led to far more sales to women.

Women have the ability to listen better as they also want to be heard. For that reason women far more prefer a one salesman then they do a man.

A question that puts women down when they are buying cars is "shouldn't your husband me there with you?" Women salesmen do not do that. This does not happen with women salesmen. They suppose you are in the know of what you want when you come to the lot to get a car. To add, these women have also gone through this hence know what you are going through there an then.

Women understand each other better hence get to trust each other. Empathy is one thing that is very significant when it comes to sales. Sales is really about emotion. Women know how to use emotion much better than men.

Most men will deal with a woman salesman. The thought process is that she can't know more than them, therefore they feel less threatened by woman sales person. This comes at an advantage to women salesmen especially the honest ones who do a good days job and get a day's pay.
