A neck is a part of a human body that connects the head to rest of the body. It is made up of a series of small bones that extend from the skull to the upper torso. The treatment involves the use of heat treatment and ice.It mostly involves stretching and physical therapy. The patient can also be given medications of the pain.

The patient may require a collar to bring necks back to its position. In case of an infection the doctor might prescribe some antibiotics and in rare cases the patient might be required to undergo surgery. The normal minor pains can be treated at home. Some of this treatments include ice application for a few days.

One is advised to be use painkillers to help with the management of the pains. Exercising irregularly helps in reducing stiffness. When sitting for long periods, one should practice proper sitting posture. When sleeping, it is advisable to use pillows. Gentle massaging can also be useful.
