These symptoms usually continue throughout the duration of a these headaches. Some patients even report that nausea and vomiting are accompanied by diarrhea. You may notice tenderness or a feeling of pressure on your scalp, your skin may be especially pale, and your hands can become cold or sweaty.

Other afflictions during a migraine could affect your vision and speech. You may have a hard time stringing words together in a sentence, which makes it hard to communicate just how much pain that you are truly in. You may also see what is know as auras, which are flickering spots or lights that make it hard to see. Numbness and tingling sensations are also common.

Painkillers are often given to sufferers, because they help to alleviate the throbbing pain that is so common with this condition. Sometimes they simply do not work, though. They can also come with side effects like making it hard for you to function or inability to work or do other tasks. Instead of just taking pills, see if your chiropractor can instead help you get back to normal.
