To help you with buying your own tub, here are some of the things that you have to keep in mind to ensure that you are getting a good one:

Seats- Think about the number of people who will be using the tub ultimately. Are you planning on letting guests use the tub? Make sure that the tub can seat them comfortably.

Location- Where are you planning on placing the tub? Measure the area. There should be enough for you to walk around the tub.

The Water Level- One of the more important things that you need to check concerns the water level of the tub compared with the seating. You would have to have to visualize that so you can tell if you will be comfortable enough once you are seated and the tub is filled with water on the desired level.

Footwell of the Tub- the footwell is another crucial part of the tub. Make sure that you are comfortable enough in it.

Number of Jets- The main thing that sets a hot tub apart from an ordinary tub are the jets. Think about the number of jets that are placed. Are there enough for your needs?

Appearance- How good does your tub look? No matter what you say a hot tub is bound to be a showpiece of your home and it should be good to look at.

Is the unit that you are thinking of buying a high maintenance or a low maintenance one? You have to get that question answered or it might cause some trouble in the future.
