Hints Of Get A Good Fake Tan On

By Haywood Hunter

Being tanned helps you to have a skin that appears healthy and sexy. It has long been believed that to get a good tan, one should go outside and have some time in the sun. This is not always the case. In fact, many people are now considering getting a fake tan instead since the sun has been known to cause cancer as well as causing us to age faster.

There are professional salons that do tanning very well. Unfortunately, they are quite expensive. A good alternative would be to use self tanners. To tan the face, scrub and exfoliate it thoroughly. Mix moisturizer with the tanner in a fifty-fifty ratio. Apply evenly across the entire face and neck. Do not leave out any parts.

Let it sit for a minimum of three hours. After that, apply a bronzer on the parts that would get hit by the sun most. This includes the forehead, nose and cheeks. This evens the tone and gives it a more natural look. Never forget to apply on your upper ears and the lobes. It is a tanning disaster to forget these too, yet it is so common a mistake to make. No one wants to look like an elf.

If you want to tan the whole body, then after doing the face you should proceed to exfoliate the rest of your skin. Pay particular attention to the knees and elbows. After you have done this and shaved as much as possible, apply the tanner on your hands and legs, ensuring they are all covered. You can then shift your attention to the hips and stomach.

Washing hands will likely get the tanner off the back of your hands. To clean up after applying, use a wet piece of cloth instead. Wipe your palms and the middle of your fingers very well. You can opt to use a body shimmer on the hands and legs for extra vibrancy.

Be sure to use the right tanner on your body. There are different types like face, airbrush, cream, bronzing gels and enhancers. You can use these to crossfade and develop natural effects on your skin. To do this, use lotion to assist you in the process.

Do not be too scared if you mess up. You can remove the messed up parts using toothpaste or astringent toners. Repeat the process if your fake tan is not dark enough.
