Rules Established For The Sport Kickboxing

By Laura Green

There are many tournaments which are taking place inside a ring. Most of these battles are extreme to the point of being scary since you get to fight with other people and get hit and hurt yourself. But then, there are many players who are enjoying their time on ring even after getting a blow or a kick. One of the most popular form of battle inside a rectangular ring is Kickboxing Surrey.

Well the main difference between boxing and kickboxing is that the fact that there are some kicking which is involved in the last one which was mentioned. If you compare that to being a boxer alone then its much more painful because you get to have bruises on you legs too out from those kicks thrown at you.

Those who are interested in participating in matches should always know the rules and abide it. There are consequences that can happen once and if a player or promoter neglects the rules established. More than anything, it can ruin the reputation of the people involve and you do not want that to ever happen.

Anyway, a person should understand that being in participation with such activity or sport is not compulsory. Which means, they get to decide whether they want to join or not and no one has forced them to fight. That way all risk which they are subjected to are at their own liability and responsibility in general.

However, even if these sports may seem all out, there still are rules that at least can be of help to keep both players safe at all cost. And, that is really something which contestants should know of. This can range on the facility rules up to the moves and technique players may use when battling.

Mouth guards are also something very important especially if you care about your teeth. This is not just compulsory but also can help you finish the game without losing any of your tooth from the blows you would probably get. Groin protection also stands as important as the mouth guards on these kinds of sports.

The weight of gloves worn by both players in the ring should have the same equal weight. The colors of their gloves are normally based on the corner a contestant is taking. But if both players are taking the same color then the tape should be the one to secure the difference instead for the same purpose.

Now, for the important parts of the rules, this lies on the tactics and strategies which are used during the fight. There should be a fair fight with only the use of accepted moves and attacks. Doing something which is prohibited can be a cause for subtraction on the points you could have had, that could pretty much be a reason to lose.

Head butts or coming in with quite low in the head of opponent is not allowed. Targeting the private and sensitive parts also are highly prohibited. For example, punching or kicking on the groin. Biting, thrusting kicks straight to the knees, jabbing on the eye, wrestling techniques or throwing off your opponent are also not allowed in kickboxing in general.
