Losing Weight And The New You!

By Casey Wigwire

In the game of weight loss it is very important to understand what you should and shouldn't do to maximize a healthy balance all around. You have in mind exactly how many pounds you would like to lose but perhaps not the right way to go about it. The most common mistake everyone makes is to stop eating well rounded meals and butcher the diet completely. You should never miss any meals. In fact it is best to increase the meals from three to six each day. Lower your portions but keep the body working.

Remember your father telling you to eat those vegetables and your mother telling you to try some fruit. As a kid you would pass on that at every corner. Now these two things can help you tremendously. They give you the feeling of being full with much less food being consumed. You get the energy you need to burn the fat right off your body. Don't forget the body needs those vitamins, cancer fighting antioxidants, fiber and minerals as well.

The clear way to eat sensibly is to avoid processed and that of fast food. No good comes from eating that. You will be doing the opposite of what you want. In the markets today there is no reason not to eat fresh each and every time. Sure you may need to visit the market a little more, all worth it in the end.

If you are going to make a full switch to a healthy diet of course sugar is an enemy as well. Ease it out of your coffee and stay away from soft drinks and chocolate bars. Too much sugar will make you feel sluggish and offset all the good that you are doing. Remember the body has a best friend and that best friend is water, not sugar. Get your six to eight glasses in each day and you will be just fine.

The most forgotten on the agenda is that of salt. Your cardiovascular system can be interrupted with too much of this and you will struggle to lose weight for sure. Consider alternatives when spicing things up. Garlic is very good, as is pepper, basil, rosemary, ginger, nutmeg and bay leaves.

You have the right mind set and you know the rules, now you can't let it go to waste by eating everything in sight. Sure you are eating the right stuff and you are eating more meals but what about those nights out that become seconds and thirds? Try to avoid going up again and again. If dining out and you are done, take the rest home with you. Don't let the body fall apart. Protect your investment and take only what you need.

Of course the food will not push the body like it is suppose to without exercise of some form. Make the body work and you will get results. Find an activity that involves moving. Find a sport, take a walk, run, swim or find a machine, anything to get the blood moving. You don't put gas in your car to just sit in the garage. You need to drive it, same thing with your body. Hit the gas whenever you can. All of this will help you lose weight and help you keep it off. That is the objective.

The best luck I had losing weight was when I went down to one meal a day and continued to exercise as often as possible.
