In days long gone by, many people who had to spend hours in the sun earning a living, tended to have more sun-damaged skin than those who were fortunate enough to be indoors most of the time. Today, many people see tanned skin as a sign of good health and high social standing. The spray tan is a wonderful way to achieve a darker color without ever setting foot in the sun.

Without that big star that burns so brightly during the day, this planet would cease to exist as it does now, but as great as it may be, it's also the reason for a lot of suffering. It provides the planet and all its inhabitants with life, but too much of it can cause people to age faster and develop a certain kind of cancer.

Most people have had a sunburn at some point in their lives, and are very familiar with how painful it can be. In recent years, much more attention has also been given to how dangerous leaving your skin exposed to the sun can be.

A lot of people believe having a little color in their skin gives the appearance of good health and an active lifestyle. Luckily, nowadays, you don't have to spend hours laying outside in the grass, being nibbled on by insects, in order to achieve the tawny glow so many desire. You also don't need to put your body at risk for developing skin cancer or suffer through days of pain and unsightly peeling.

One of the great things about an airbrushed tan is that you can go as light or dark as you want without a whole lot of time or effort being spent. What's even better is that the ingredients in the spray will condition your skin as well as give it some color.

When sunless tanning first came onto the scene, many people were taken aback after applying these products, waiting a couple hours, and watching their skin change into a hideous orange color. Today, many improvements have been made to sunless tanning products. There is no longer need to fear the dreaded streaks, or looking like a cantaloupe.

For those who wish to look like they just got back from a month-long vacation on some tropical island, a spray tan may be just the answer you're looking for. You can have it applied by a person, or if you prefer, you can stand in a booth and let a machine cover your body with a fine mist that will give you an all-over, even, smooth look.
