The world continues to battle with infectious diseases. Their prevalence rates remain in the double-digit figures. They continue to claim the lives of many individuals the world over. Dealing with adverse medical conditions like the plague, cholera, typhoid, and dysentery is a major issue facing the leading researchers. Most importantly, however, they are interested in discovering the most effective remedies and solutions to these medical problems. The following article goes into detail about the successes and achievements done by one of the most acclaimed epidemiologists of all-time. His name is Dr. John M Boyce MD, and this is a brief overview of what he has achieved.

Dr. Boyce is an alumni of Washington University. He graduated with a degree in medicine in the year nineteen seventy. From there, the budding doctor went on to pursue his Master degree at the Herman Hospital in Houston. His fellowship dissertation involved him training in epidemiology and on the infectious diseases. This was just the beginning of an illustrious career that would see him emerge as one of the leading authority figures in that particular discipline.

Most of his notable achievements came about while he was a lecturer at Yale University. At the peak of his career, the professor held the prestigious position of the Director of Epidemiology studies and Infection Control methodology at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. Come the year twenty-fifteen the academician retired from that position.

Dr. Boyce has always been an altruist at heart. Even before he became famous working at Yale, he was an altruist serving in various charitable and philanthropic organizations. One of them being the SHEA organization where he has served as the coordinator and the president for many years. His other prominent positions include being the head epidemiologist at one of the top-rated hospitals in Providence.

John has spent the past forty years of his adult life researching contagious diseases. He has dedicated his entire life to the pursuit of discovering the scientific reason and logic behind the spread of common infectious medical conditions. Most importantly, his research findings have been motivated and inspired by the need to find practical solutions of how to deal with the adverse ramifications of the conditions like typhoid, cholera, dysentery and a plethora of bacterial infections as well.

Dr. John has researched on tularemia, bubonic plague, and cholera and dysentery as well. His research findings place a huge emphasis on how it is possible to avoid all the negative side-effects associated with infectious and contagious medical conditions just by being hygienic. Simple measures like disinfection and proper hygiene are all that is needed to curtail the emergence of such diseases mostly.

The forty painstaking years spent researching and studying the epidemiology of conditions like cholera have paid off brilliantly. His research publications have ended up saving millions of lives which could have otherwise been prematurely cut-off by mundane things such as a disinfected medical apparatus.

His achievements have not gone unnoticed. The eminent scientist has received numerous prizes and accolades for his groundbreaking research and work. He was voted the best teacher and the best research attending physician of the year. Despite being retired, he hopes to continue making a profound positive impact on this interesting niche.
