Alternative therapies are gaining popularity over traditional medical means. This preference will continue to grow as more and more mainstream doctors are seeing the benefits patients gain by combining the two types of practices into one type of "Integrative Medicine", commonly utilized in leading Nashville chiropractic offices. Chiropractors use natural approaches that are cost effective, cause no additional pain or discomfort, leaves patients feeling better after each session, pose no risks to the body, have no addictive possibilities, and most of all - they work!

There is a broad range of alternative healthcare options. These are offered by various professionals such as chiropractors, physical therapists, holistic physicians, herbalists, and traditional doctors who are trained in such areas.

The NCCAM, (The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine) features certain types of fields including, Mind and Body approaches, biological-based therapies, body-based manipulative practices, Whole Medical systems, and Energy Medicine.

Not every practitioner will provide all of these options, so it is important to speak with the individual doctor to see what is available. One approach to consider is Brain Core Therapy.

Brain Core Therapy is another word for Neurofeedback, Neuro-Therapy, or biofeedback. This method of care is known as EEG, used as real-time displays of your brain's activity, teaching you self-regulation of your brain function.

The primary purpose of Brain Core Therapy is to gather valuable biofeedback, which can assist in improving an individual's brainwaves. This approach has proven to be effective at alleviating, or even eliminating, many symptoms associated with conditions like ADHD, learning disorders, stroke, anxiety, migraine headaches, brain injuries, insomnia, depression, and others.

When irregular brainwave activity is presented, it is typically due to pressure on the nervous system, which runs through the center of the spinal column. If a vertebra slips out of position, it can press against nerves. Misalignment is an extremely common condition and one that is easy to correct without experiencing any undue discomfort or pain.

Interested individuals should contact a local chiropractor's office to schedule a free initial consultation to find out if this type of healthcare is appropriate for their personal situation.
