West Jordan Dentists/West Jordan Family Dentist offers a pediatric dentistry, periodontics, general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontic services, dental school, and medicine services. West Jordan Dentists is great for dental care and services community in other ways like providing cancer services. I recall my very first dentist. I had some great experiences with my first dentist office visits and I believe the good dental care and services I received from my dentist as a child affecting my dental health today as an adult, as well as affecting my dental hygiene habits.
There are those, like my husband, who are afraid of the dentist or would just rather not go to the dentist even if it means having less than good dental health. This struggle to help my husband get to a good dental health level and maintain his oral health by regular visits to the dentist for dental cleanings, etc. has made me think about why I actually enjoy going to the dentist.
The main thing is that I learned that dental care is important from a young age. Going to the dentist twice a year was important to my parents--even though I remember my father not going much, my parents made it a point to make sure their children received the dental care and services we needed which included a six month dental cleaning and dental exam from the dentist. The habit started there and has continued through my adult life as I have made the financial decisions to get dental insurance services and paying the co-pay for regular visits to the dentist--along with finding a new dentist wherever I move.
I remember that going to the dentist office was a fun visit when I was a kid. The dentistry office had a waiting room that was friendly to kids with pictures and books and toys to help our waiting time at the dentist fun rather than boring and scary. Then once we got to the dentist chair for the dental health care there was a fun picture on the ceiling to look at while the dentist and dental assistant completed their regular oral care routine. The dentist and his assistant always seemed to talk in my kid language and give encouragement to brush my teeth and maintain good dental health care habits. There were rewards for visiting the dentist like getting to choose a cool sticker from the dentist's sticker wall. I also got to choose from the dentistry drawer of toothbrushes with animal characters. My dentist was the best pediatric dentistry for kids!
