Real Skin Care Tips For Real Skin

By Katrina Eaton

We see skin care tips everyday. Just look in any publication and you'll find lists of 'Must Do's' for your skin. Naturally we all care about the way of skin looks as it's the very first thing people observe. It affects our confidence and says a lot about our physical condition. It's so important that it's not surprising we are blasted with all the 'latest' advice and revelations.

Therefore why don't we all have excellent skin after adhering to this guidance? Why aren't all these amazing latest products giving us the skin we desire? What it comes down to is that it's become all too complicated. Our skin doesn't need 8 step routines to look it's best. The best care is simple. Care that supports your skin's natural clarity and keeps it healthy.

The skin care market will have us believe differently, but of course their main concern is revenues and not results. If there genuinely was a wonder product made, everyone would be working with it, and the skin care market would die, right?

What are some of the tips that actually work for skin? These are simple, straightforward and proven with results. They combine knowledge and common sense, and remember that skin can mainly take care of itself and simply needs a helping hand.

The top cause of most skin concerns is stress. This affects hormones, which in turn affect all the systems of our body. When these various systems aren't performing at their best, our skin can't look it's best. Think of a hang over. The day after a big night greets you with dehydrated, dull skin. This will continue into blemishes and uneven color over the next week if you neglect to reboot your body.

So it goes without mentioning that taking actions to manage stress is really important for overall health and clear skin.

An additional tip we continually see is to put on sunscreen conscientiously each day. Of course, a lot of sun is damaging to the skin's deeper layers, but there are good reasons to expose your skin to a little sun. You can see this after a holiday in the sun, your skin glows as if lit from within.

Of course I'm not telling you to go out and get sun burnt, but I do think it's beneficial to see a few rays of sun a day on your skin. This will outweigh any adverse affects of possible damage as sunlight is important for Vitamin D synthesis and numerous other processes related to skin health.

What are the best tips when it comes to using skin care products? These are often about revenue and a number of them advertise impossible to announce ingredients, that have such a small amount in them they wouldn't make a difference anyway. Look for the three Vitamins A C and E, which build up the skin from the lower layers and in the long run gives you beautiful skin.

Other products you might want to uses need simply be standard, store bought face cleansers and moisturizers. Try to keep your skin clean and moisturized. Even the olive oil in your pantry cupboard performs miracles as a cleanser, moisturizer or massage oil.

How do you get your greatest skin? It can be a case of trial and error. You know your individual skin best, so try what feels right and note the results. Always remember that skin is capable of looking after itself, and aim to support it in doing this job in the best possible way.
