Lately however, dried fruits have been found to actually contain added calories because it is denser than fresh fruits and because of the sugar used in drying them.
Another recommended snack are granolas. They are especially healthy if they are home-made: some oatmeal, fruits and a bit of honey is way better than the commercially sold granolas that are high in sugar and calories.
For heavier meals, there are certain foods that are also not as fat-free as they are portrayed. Vegetable based patties or burgers is a concise example.
