A significant percent of the visible signs of aging are the result of the skin's overexposure to sun. Ultraviolet radiation from the sun and tanning causes "photo-aging". Besides wrinkles, pigmentation, not to mention mottling, roughness, freckles, age spots, dryness, leathery skin, and skin cancer result from ultraviolet radiation. Products to enhance skin health and appearance include vitamins, antioxidants, sunscreen or moisturizers, such as wrinkle cream. Cream reduces wrinkles and is applied externally. Among creams,a few contain Syn-ake(Snake Venom Cream).

Although it might be hard to resist the allure of the warm, bright sun, experts advise it is best that you resist. Tanned skin is proof of Ultraviolet A rays penetrating through skin. Ultraviolet B rays are evident when a person is sunburned, or other pigment effects. Ultraviolet B damages skin DNA, and has photo-aging effects. Cancer is also the result of Ultraviolet B radiation. Midday, ranging from 10 in the morning to 4pm is when the radiation from the sun is at its most powerful. Even during cloudy days, experts advise against going out into the midday sun. Those who lay poolside are not safe from the damaging sun. To shield your skin against damaging and aging ultraviolet radiation, people can avail themselves with photo-protective agents. During the daytime, sunscreen and clothing can provide protection. At night, people can use moisturizer to enhance skin health and appearance.

Sun exposure for more than 20 minutes necessitates applying sunscreen. It should be applied twenty minutes before you step into the sun. You should use a "broad spectrum" sunscreen. The label should advise you of its capabilities. A broad spectrum sunscreens blocks more than one type of ultraviolet radiation, likely A and B. These two types damage skin. A sunscreen protection factor, or SPF, that is no lower than 30 is safe. However, the higher the sun protection factor, the greater its radiation protection. Using water resistant sunscreens is convenient, however, experts advise that you apply another round of sunscreen after swimming or heavy sweating, and every 2 hours. Use the equivalent of a shot glass to cover head to toe, including ears. Lips can use a sunscreen or lip balm at SPF 30 for minimum safety.

Wide-brimmed hats, long sleeve shirts, long pants, and sunglasses are recommended for day time sun exposure. Clothing should not be worn tight, but loose. Sunglasses at a 99 percent radiation protection factor is the minimum recommendation.

Moisturizer with vitamin A and sunscreen with sun protection factor of 30 can be effective radiation shield for skin. Products that suggest fine lines or wrinkles can be filled out often have moisturizer as a necessary ingredient. Because vitamin E and C are antioxidants, creams with these ingredients can assist with repairing radiation damage to skin cells. The rate that free radicals damage skin may be slowed by antioxidants.

Nearly 30 million Americans visit a tanning salon each year at a rate of over one million per day. The typical age range of customers is 16 to 29 years. The primary customers, girls and women, spend $5 billion dollar per year tanning at salons. Statistically, indoor tanners are in a higher risk category of tanners than those who do not tan indoors. The probability of developing melanoma is 74% higher.

Maintaining skin health goes along with a healthy lifestyle. For those who aim to avoid harmful ultraviolet radiation, cosmetic products include tanning lotions, sprays, and bronzers. Pills for tanning are ill advised, according to health experts. For healthy skin, avoid cigarette smoking, which accelerates wrinkling. The more you smoke, whether in quantity or duration, the more wrinkles result. To obtain Vitamin D as needed for a healthy body, choose supplements. To obtain vitamin A, modify your nutrition. Carrots, oranges, cantaloupe, leafy green vegetables, and low-fat dairy products are healthier options.
